Origins

The Asia Ireland Chamber of Commerce originated from the work of Chambers of Commerce Ireland (CCI) in developing links with its Asian counterpart chambers. This resulted in a bi-lateral cooperation agreement being signed between CCI and The Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Asia Ireland Chamber of Commerce was formally launched by President Mary McAleese in Thailand in 2002.
The Asia Ireland Chamber of Commerce in Korea was established in Sept 2002 at the request of Chambers Ireland.
